Welcome to Citizens’ Impeachment. Here’s how to meet with your members of Congress to discuss impeachment.
Citizens’ Impeachment is made up of concerned citizens from every single district in the US. This gives us access to every single representative and senator in the United States Congress. Requesting to meet with members of Congress is something that lobbyists do all the time to push their agendas. As citizens advocating for impeachment, we need our volunteers nationwide (including you!) to use this potent strategy as well.
Why it matters:
It often seems like our representatives aren’t taking the threat to our democracy seriously. But our success in moving the needle in favor of impeachment demonstrates that members of Congress do listen when we work together. Requesting to meet with your members of Congress tells them in no uncertain terms that the topic is important to you. When you collaborate with Citizens’ Impeachment, it also shows that there is widespread popular support for impeachment and an organized campaign to make it happen.
Our promise:
You won’t do this alone. When you follow the steps in our Citizen Action Guide to set up a meeting with your elected officials, a representative from Citizens’ Impeachment will help you prepare for the meeting and join you during the meeting. You will also receive information about your district and state, such as the number of people participating in Citizens’ Impeachment there and their reasons for joining the movement.
