50501 Movement joins Citizens’ Impeachment, FLARE to demand Congress impeach, convict, and remove the Trump administration.
WASHINGTON D.C. — January 15, 2026 – 50501 Movement’s next day of action will be a national in-person district lobbying day on February 17, 2026, in collaboration with FLARE USA and Citizens’ Impeachment. Led by grassroots pro-democracy organizations and primary candidates, the American people will visit in-district congressional offices during the February recess to demand the immediate impeachment, conviction, and removal of Trump and his enablers.
“FLARE has been fighting to impeach, convict, and remove Donald Trump and his regime in DC since its inception. Now with 50501 joining us, we’re taking the impeachment fight national,” said FLARE USA council member Randy Kindle. The organization has anchored in-person lobbying events for the impeachment movement from their highly-visible, permitted encampment near the National Mall. Over the past 8 months, FLARE’s 24 hours a day, seven days a week presence in the shadow of the Capitol has enabled more than 4,000 citizens to meet their representatives’ Washington D.C. staff in person and lobby for impeachment.
“It hasn’t been two weeks into the new year and the Trump regime has already dragged the United States into another war of occupation by bombing and invading Venezuela, and murdered one of its own citizens by unleashing masked, armed ICE agents against civilians, resulting in the killing of Renee Good. Instead of accountability, this administration has doubled down by deploying even more ICE forces into Minnesota and making overt threats to the citizens of Minnesota and the United States. Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth, Stephen Miller, Pam Bondi, and J.D. Vance has transformed the U.S. government into an authoritarian dictatorship that targets its own people. A government that shoots its own citizens in cold blood has forfeited its legitimacy. Impeachment is not optional. It is the minimum response to state-sponsored murder.”
— Logan Keith, 50501 Spokesperson and U.S. military veteran
In the first week of 2026 the administration engaged in three flagrant abuses of power – an unconstitutional military strike in Venezuela, the extrajudicial murder of Renee Nicole Good by a member of the ICE paramilitary force for exercising her first amendment rights, and the continued obstruction of justice for victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring. While individual members of Congress including Representative Kelly (IL-02) and Rep. Jim Clyburn (SC-06) have expressed support for the impeachment, conviction, and removal of administration staff, Congress has so far failed to mount meaningful opposition to President Trump’s unconstitutional actions.
“Trump and his enablers routinely and repeatedly engage in unconstitutional behavior. The remedy is impeachment, and the American people demand accountability,” said Keira Havens, Executive Director of Citizens’ Impeachment. Impeachment is broadly popular across the country. Both rural and urban districts as well as swing districts support impeachment.
February 17 marks the one-year anniversary of the first No Kings’ protest, held on President’s Day, 2025. The first year of President Trump’s first term was marked by continuous abuses of power and illegal actions, with 7 million people participating in public protests during the summer of 2025.
The organizations have endorsed three impeachment resolutions against President Trump and key staff members Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, and Pam Bondi, Attorney General. Two resolutions impeach President Trump and Secretary Hegseth for Tyranny, including repeated usurpation of congressionally-mandated war powers, and Treason, for levying a “war from within” by deploying military (National Guard) and paramilitary (ICE) forces against the people of the United States. A third impeaches President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for obstruction of justice and violating federal law in their failure to release the Epstein Files to the public. Free Speech For People and other advocates have endorsed those impeachment resolutions.
