The First Congressional District of Georgia is represented by Republican Congressman Earl Carter, who has announced his candidacy for Senate in 2026.

Coastal Georgia for Democracy (Savannah Indivisible) is bringing together political leaders and new candidates to speak directly with Georgians who seek answers to tough questions. The Town Hall will feature leaders from many of the upcoming races in Georgia: within Savannah and surrounding counties, plus Congressional District 1, and the Governorship.

This is NOT a campaign rally. No slogans, no soundbites, no speeches. Instead, we’ll come together for in-person discourse about the issues that matter to us, the voting public.
